Prohibitory orders extended in Dakshina Kannada
Mangaluru, Feb 26, 2022: The prohibitory orders around schools and colleges has been extended in Dakshina Kannada police limits till March 5 evening. Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district Dr. Rajendra issued an order related to the extension.
Considering the Hijab and saffron controversy in the state, DC had issued prohibitory orders under Section 144 from Feb 14 to Feb 19 evening. On Feb 18 the DC issued an order extending Section 144 till Feb 26 evening. Now it has been extended again till March 5.
Section 144 will be for 200 meters around all the schools and colleges in Dakshina Kannada district police limits.
