“While initially healthcare and frontline workers were provided vaccine, it was later given to the senior citizens and 18 plus age group. Now the government had decided to provide vaccination to children above 15 years. This will be of great help,” he said.

He requested the people to participate in the vaccination camp.

“Due to our Prime Minister’s ability now we have 2 lakh ventilator in the country. Dakshina Kannada district has about 16 started. There is no shortage of oxygen, ventilators, and bed. With the help of CSR fund oxygen plants are set up in even distant villages too,” he said.

“We have all the facilities. But people take all the precautions like wearing the mask and maintaining social distancing. We aim to vaccinate about 1 lakh children in Dakshina Kannada. We want to vaccinate 25 thousand children today,” he added.
