Cycle expedition to mark Golden Jubilee of 1971 victory held

Karwar, Dec 21, 2021: An Indian Navy cycle expedition was undertaken to commemorate the ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh.’

A total of 14 personnel from Karwar Naval Base participated to cover a distance of 200 Km across Karwar to Siddapur over three days.
The participants visited various educational institutions/ colleges enroute to create awareness among the youth about the 1971 war as well as career options in Armed Forces and the Indian Navy. They also interacted with the veterans of the 1971 war in the region as part of the Indian Navy’s outreach program.
The team participants visited various educational institutions/ colleges enroute like BGS Central School- Kumta, M.M. Arts and Science College- Sirsi, and Government PU College-Halageri, Siddhapur.
