Minorities likely to get Rs 5 lakh for house construction
Mangaluru, Dec 13, 2021: The State Minority Development Corporation which has come up with the new project of providing Rs 5 lakh loan to help the minority community during house construction has submitted a proposal to the state government.
Speaking to reporters Corporation chairman Mukhtar Husain Pathan Pathan said that as per the proposed project Rs 5 lakh as a loan will be provided to the minorities who want to construct the house.
He expressed confidence in getting this passed during the next budget.
As per the proposal, out of the Rs 5 lakh, Rs 1.5 lakhs will be a subsidy for the BPL families.
He said that under the Arivu Educational Program Rs 77 crore was distributed as a loan in the last year. This year Rs 57 crore has been provided. The proposal is to provide Rs 200 crore loan in the next year. The last date for the loan this year is December 15.
