Dhanya Muhurtha of Krishnapura Paryaya held
Udupi, Dec 08, 2021: The Dhanya Muhurtha (Bhattha Muhurtha) of Krishnapura Paryaya was held on Wednesday.
The Paryaya celebration of Sri Vidyasagara Tirtha Sripadaru of Sri Krishnapura Matha will be held on January 18, 2022.
Various rituals like ‘Baale Muhurtha,’ ‘Akki Muhurtha,’ Kattige Muhurtha,’ and ‘Dhanya Muhurtha,’ are held before the Paryaya celebration.

Just a few days before the Paryaya celebration Chappara Muhurtha is held. These ‘Muhurtha,’ marks the preparations for the Paryaya.

On Wednesday the Bhattha Muhurtha (Dhanya Muhurtha) began with Navagraha Pooja at Sri Krishnapura Matha. Prayers were offered to Sri Chandramauleeshwara, Sri Anantheshwara and Sri Krishna Mukhyaprana.
The Paddy was placed at Badagumalige and was offered special pooja.
Srinivas Bhat Padubidri, Varada Rao, Seetharam Bhat of Krishnapura Matha, Matha Kottari Raghavendra Rao, Udupi MLA K Raghupathi Bhat, who is also the honorary president of Paryayotsava Samithi, Balaji Raghavendra Acharya, Kateel Temple heriditory archak Lakshminarayana Asranna, Coastal Development Authority president Mattaru Rathnakar Hegde, Udupi Municipal Council president Sumithra R Nayak, Udupi Development Authority president Raghavendra Kini, Paryaya Mahotsava Samithi members were present.
