Governor visits INS Vikramaditya
Karwar, Dec 04, 2021: Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot accompanied by RAdm Mahesh Singh, Flag Officer Commanding Karnataka Naval Area, visited INS Vikramaditya on the occasion of Navy Day.
The Governor was received by Capt Susheel Menon, Commanding Officer INS Vikramaditya.
During the visit, the Governor was taken around the ship and briefed about the role and capabilities of the ship. He was also briefed about the nuances of navigation and aircraft operations from the deck of INS Vikramaditya.
He was also briefed on the progress of infrastructure development through Project Seabird Phase II-A and reviewed the marine works during Harbour sortie.
Gehlot acknowledged the important role of the navy in safeguarding the maritime interests of India.
He along with Rear Admiral Mahesh Singh also went for a harbour visit today at Karwar Naval Base.
