Udupi, Nov 11, 2021: People of Udupi organized a grand program to welcome Sri Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Sripadaru who had returned to the temple town with the Padma Vibhushana Award conferred to his Guru Sri Vishwesha Tirtha Sripadaru Posthumously.

Sri Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Sripadaru had received the award at a grand function held at Rastrapathi Bhavan on Monday. On the next day, he had ‘presented,’ the award to his Guru’s Vrindavana at Poornaprajna Vidhyapeetha in Bengaluru.

Today he arrived at Udupi with the award.

The Swamiji and the award were given a grand welcome. They were taken in a procession from Padupete -Kanakadasa road. 

After the procession at Ratha Beedhi, the Swamiji entered Sri Krishna Matha and placed the award in front of Sri Krishna other deities and Simhasana. He was welcomed by Paryapa Peetadhipathi Sri Eeshapriya Tirtha Sripadaru. He then placed at the Peetha dedicated to his Guru at Pejawara Matha. 

A formal program was held later which was attended by Sri Vishwavallabha Tirtha Sripadaru of Sode Matha, Sri Vidyadheesha Tirtha Sripadaru, and Vidhyarajeshwara Tirtha Sripadaru of Palimaru Matha, MLA Raghupathi Bhat, former Minister Pramod Madhwaraj, and others.
