18 houses damaged due to rain, lightning in Udupi
Udupi, Nov 06, 2021: Heavy rain and lightning have partially damaged 18 houses and resulted in the death of cattle in Udupi district.
Officials said that the cattle in the house of Sanju Mogaveera of Kundapur Taluk died due to lightning.
Thirteen houses were damaged partially due to lightning and rain in Kundapur Taluk, two in Udupi Taluk, and three in Kaup Taluk.
The district recorded an average rainfall of 51.7 mm. Udupi Taluk recorded the highest rainfall.
