Sorake feels Bommai may not continue as CM for long
Udupi, Sept 20, 2021: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Vinay Kumar Sorake has professed that Basavaraj Bommai is unlikely to continue in the post for long.
“BJP high command is keen on projecting people like Yogi Adityanath. So they may not allow Bommai to continue for long in the post,” Sorake said.
He also claimed that Bommai had once wanted to join Congress and had contacted Oscar Fernandes.
“Bommai is not from RSS background and it may be difficult for him to continue in the post. BJP does not tolerate secularism. It wants people like Yogi,” he added.
Sorake also claimed that the unhappiness within the BJP is likely to make many join the Congress.
However, he abstained from giving any more details.
