Rain damages 21 houses damaged in Udupi
Udupi, July 13, 2021: Incessant rain in Udupi district has damaged 21 houses.
Officials said that three houses were damaged in Udupi taluk, seven in Brahmavar, four in Kundapur two each in Kaup, Byndoor, and Karkala, and one in Hebri.
While some were damaged due to heavy rain, few were affected as trees collapsed on them.
Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat inspected the damaged house at Santhekatte and spoke to the house owners. He directed the officials to provide maximum compensation to the affected family.
