Udupi, July 12, 2021: Incessant rain in the region for the last three days has damaged three houses in Udupi, Kundapura, and Brahmavar taluk.

The wall of the house belonging to Chandrashekhar Acharya collapsed due to rain accompanied by wind at Kelarkalabettu village in Udupi taluk. Due to wind, a tree fell on the house of Gopalakrishna at Neelavara village. The houses of Shankar Mendon of Basroor village and Manjunatha Devadiga of Vaderahobli were partially damaged.

The average rainfall recorded on Monday morning in the district was 62. 9 mm. Hebri received the highest rainfall in the district and Byndoor had the lowest.
