Mangaluru, July 09, 2021: The train chugs along the green forest, clouds, waterfalls, and rivers along the beautiful Western Ghats. Travel between Mangaluru and Bengaluru on a day train is an experience of a lifetime for nature lovers.

Many travel on the train just to enjoy nature. Now the Railway Ministry has added ‘tourism,’ flavor to this route by including Vistadome coaches. The Vistadome coaches are being introduced for the first time in South India.

According to Railway officials, there will be two Vistadome coaches attached in trains operated every day from either terminal- Mangaluru Junction and Yesvantpur.

The coach is equipped with CCTV surveillance, fire safety systems, LED display, oven & refrigerator, mini pantry, multi-tiered steel luggage shelves, mobile charging socket on each seat, and ‘content-on-demand viewable by passengers. Further, the coach is equipped with automatic sliding doors & bio-toilets.

There is also a space, sort of lounge provided at the far end of the coach with a large viewing window.
