Uttara Kannada takes lead in vaccination camp for Degree students
Karwar, June 26, 2021: Uttara Kannada will start the special vaccination drive for students from June 28.
The state government has decided to start Under Graduate (Degree) classes from next month. Following this, it had directed all the district administrations to conduct vaccination camps for the students above 18 years studying at Degree, Diploma and ITI Colleges and also the teaching and non-teaching staff of the colleges.

The special vaccination drive will be conducted in Work Place Vaccination model.
Following this, the Uttara Kannada district administration has geared up for the special vaccination drive.
There are 94 colleges with 33,965 beneficiaries in Uttara Kannada. The district administration will start the vaccination camp on June 28 where 4,000 beneficiaries of 6 identified colleges will be vaccinated.
This drive will continue. Based on the availability of vaccination the district administration will conduct similar vaccination camps regularly and provide vaccination to all the 33,965 beneficiaries before the College begins.
On June 28 the special camp will be conducted at
- Govt Arts and Science College- Karwar
- Divekar College of Commerce and Science- Karwar
- Dr A V Baliga College of Arts and Science- Kumta
- Dr A V Baliga College of Commerce- Kumta
- MES College of Commerce- Sirsi
- MES College of Arts and Science-Sirsi.
A lab technician will accompany each team. If any beneficiary is found with Covid symptoms they will undergo Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) at the campus.
All the Colleges have been asked to invite all the beneficiaries to attend the vaccination drive.
