CFI to organize campaign against Central’s moves
Mangaluru, June 23, 2021: The Campus Front of India (CFI) will organize various programs against Central Government’s moves on the 46th anniversary of the Emergency.
Speaking to reporters, CFI national general secretary Ashwan Sadik P said that the country had suffered due to the Emergency regime between 1975-77 when the rights of people were under attack and opposition leaders sent to prison.
He said the BJP rule at the center too reminds of a similar situation.
“RSS controls BJP and they want to achieve ‘Vipaksh Mukth,’ Bharath. This is not just unconstitutional but also leads to dictatorship. Agriculture bill, Tripple Talaq, and new education policy were passed despite opposition. Those who opposed CAA were sent to prison,” he alleged.
“There is an undeclared emergency and fascism situation in the country. As a student organization, we have the responsibility to raise our voice against this. CFI will conduct a campaign with the slogan ‘Undeclared emergency, freedom of students, brotherhood and equality,’ throughout the country,” he said.
On the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the Emergency, CFI will hold various programs like discussions, students parliament, and meetings throughout the country.
National Secretary Swadakhat Sha, State General Secretary Anees Kumbra, and State Committee member Zubair Bengaluru were present.
