Building Completion Certificate: Single window model to obtain NOC
Mangaluru, June 22, 2021: Mangaluru City Corporation has proposed to start a single-window model to obtain NOC/Clearance certificates for building completion certificate.
The applicants are required to furnish NOC and respective clearances from various departments to obtain a building license and occupancy certificate.
In a meeting held on October 10, 2020, the District-In charge Secretary of Dakshina Kannada and which was attended by CREDAI, Association of Engineers and Developers from Mangalore, the stakeholders highlighted concern regarding the delay in procuring NOC/Clearance from different departments, as a major hindrance for on-time completion of construction.
“It was suggested that a Single Window model be put into a place wherein instead of the applicants requesting for NOC/Clearance from various departments, the builders could apply at MCC, which in turn forward the application to the concerned departments,” MCC Commissioner Akshy Shridhar said.
If the concerned departments do not respond within 30 days, it would be considered as Deemed NOC/Clearance.
“In this backdrop, a Single-Window System model has been published in the MCC website http:/www.mangalurucity.mrc.gov.in
Suggestions and objections regarding the same are to be submitted within 30 days of the issuance of this notice,” he said.
In the absence of any objections, the present Single Window model shall be finalized and approved.
