Udupi seers donate 'Pranaraksha,' ambulance for better healthcare

Udupi, June 11, 2021: Udupi Asta Mathas donated ‘Pranaraksha,’ the sophisticated Basic Life Support Ambulance to Udupi district administration today.

Paryaya Peetadhipathi Sri Eeshapriya Tirtha Sripadaru handed over the key of Ambulance ‘Prana Raksha,’ to Udupi Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesh. The ambulance costs Rs 20 lakh and the Asta Matadhipathis (Eight Seers of Udupi) contributed to this.

When the district was witnessing a high number of Covid cases, Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat had requested the Corporate Companies, donors, and also religious heads to make their contributions for the healthcare sector.

Sri Vidyadheesha Tirtha Sripadaru of Palimaru Matha, Sri Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Sripadaru of Pejawara Matha, Vidyavallabha Tirtha Sripadaru of Kaniyooru Matha, Vishwavallabha Tirtha Sripadaru of Sode Matha, Palimaru Matha junior pontiff Sri Vidyarajeshwara Tirtha Sripadaru and Sri Vedavardhana Tirtha Sripadaru of Shirooru Matha were present.

On behalf of the district administration, District Surgeon Dr. Madhusudhan Nayak and others were present.
