Udupi, June 03, 2021: Udupi deputy commissioner has extended the ban on vehicle movement at Balebare Ghat.

Due to the concretization of the 1.5 km stretch on State Highway-52 at Balebare Ghat, the vehicle movement was banned from April 22 to June 5. But the work is delayed due to the rains caused because of the cyclone and also due to lockdown.

PWD Executive Engineer had stated that though the work would be completed by June 5, the vehicle movement can not be allowed as the curing work was pending. He had requested the district administration to extend the ban on vehicle movement till June 15.

Considering this the Udupi Deputy Commissioner has extended the ban on vehicle movement on the Ghat section till June 15.
