Covid-19: Udupi seers donate ₹ 20 lakh
Udupi, May 30, 2021: Swamijis of Udupi Asta Matha donated ₹ 20 lakh to the district administration for the purchase of ambulance.
Following an increase in Covid cases, Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat had requested the Peetadhipathis of the Asta Mathas (eight Mathas) to donate Ambulance.
As per the request, the seers donated ₹ 20 lakh to the District Surgeon Madhusudhan Nayak in the presence of Raghupathi Bhat.
Peetadhipathis of Adamaru, Palimaru, Pejawara, Kaniyoor, Sode, and Shiroor were present.
