Dakshina Kannada gears up to vaccinate 18-44 age group from May 10
- Only those who have registered their names and got a slot online will be vaccinated
- No spot registration
- Vaccination in District Hospital and four Taluk Hospitals
Mangaluru, May 09, 2021: Following the state government’s decision, Dakshina Kannada has geared up to vaccinate the 18-44 year group from May 10.
According to officials Covishield vaccine doses have been sent from Bengaluru to Dakshina Kannada. The stock is exclusively meant for the 18-44 age group and likely to reach Mangaluru by tomorrow afternoon. Doses that can be provided for one week will be supplied by the government to the district.
The vaccination will be only for those who have registered and got a slot online. Vaccination will be only in the district hospital and four taluk hospitals.
Those who register online and book a slot will get a 4 number digital confirmatory code which they get on their mobile. This code has to be shown at the vaccination center.
Officials have also clarified that only people between the 18-44 age group can get the vaccination as set by the system.
The Covishield vaccine for above 45 years will be provided as and when the stock comes.
