Customs duty on Remdesivir waived off

New Delhi, April 21, 2021: Union Minister for Chemical and Fertilizers D. V. Sadanand Gowda has said that the customs duty on Remdesivir and its API/KSM has been waived off.

“Considering the immediate requirement on the recommendation of the Department of Pharmaceuticals, the Department of Revenue has waived customs duty on Remdesivir and its API/KSM. This step will further augment domestic availability of Remdesivir injection,” he stated on his twitter handle.
