Udupi, April 15, 2021: Unseasonal rain has damaged three houses and a cowshed in Byndoor taluk in Udupi district.

Coastal districts are experiencing thundershowers for a week. It has increased in the last two days. Many places in the region are witnessing rain accompanied by wind.

In Udupi district, the rain has damaged three houses and a cattle shed in Byndoor taluk.

Damage details:

  • Cowshed of Shridhar, Kargal village, Byndoor completely damaged. The estimated loss is about 25 thousand.
  • The house of Savitha in Nada village was partially damaged after a tree fell on the house. The estimated loss is about 20 thousand.
  • The residence of Venkamma in Kargal village was damaged after an areca nut tree fell on her house. The estimated loss is about 25 thousand.
  • Narayana Naika’s house in Muduru village was partially damaged. The loss may be around 50 thousand.
