12 year old boy murder case: Father of the accused arrested

Mangaluru, April 06, 2021: Mangaluru Police have arrested the father of the accused in the 12 year old boy murder case.

The heated exchange between two friends (both minors) regarding PUBG game led to the murder of the 12-year-old boy Akif at Kotekar near Mangaluru on April 3. The police had taken the accused to custody.

Now the father of the boy has been arrested.

“The father knew about the incident. He has tried to hide the clothes of his son and told not to tell about the murder to anyone,” Police Commissioner Shashi Kumar told reporters.
The father has been arrested for trying to destroy evidence of murder.
