Kasturba Hospital gets certification of appreciation for exemplary performance
- Kasturba Hospital has treated 15,000 patients under Ayushman Bharat-Arogya Karnataka scheme
- 13,000 were BPL patients
Manipal, Jan 29, 2021: Kasturba Hospital Manipal has received certification of appreciation from Karnataka Government & Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna for the exemplary performance under the Ayushman Bharat-Arogya Karnataka scheme.
The certificate was handed over to Kasturba Hospital medical Superintendent Dr. Avinash Shetty by Minister of Port and Fisheries S Angara at Udupi district Republic day function.
During COVID pandemic, Hospital has treated 1,043 patients under Ayushman out of these more than 400 were provided treatment at ICU.
The Hospital was also appreciated by the Government of India as one of the best performing Private Hospital & invited to Delhi for the 1st Anniversary celebration of Ayushman Bharat in 2019 in presence of Prime Minister of India.
Since empanelled under the Ayushman Bharat-Arogya Karnataka scheme in 2018, Kasturba Hospital has treated 15,000 patients under this scheme & 13,000 were BPL patients.
During COVID pandemic, Hospital has treated 1,043 Covid patients under Ayushman out of which more than 400 in ICU.

- 140 Pediatric cancer patients
