Forced begging: Childline rescues minor in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Jan 15, 2021: Volunteers of Childline rescued a minor boy involved in begging near Bendoorwell today.

The Childline received authentic information about a minor boy involved in begging at Bendoorwell today. Based on this information Childline Convener Deekshith Achrappadi along with Asunta D’Souza, Kavan, and Prashanth Moodabidri visited the spot and found the boy.

Based on the order of the Child Welfare Committee the boy has been provided rehabilitation at the Balamandir.

The rescued boy hails from Shivamogga and residing at Mudipu. His uncle Manjunath allegedly sent children for begging.
