Special meet on “Swacch Mangaluru – What Next?” at Ramakrishna Math
Mangaluru, Jan 08, 2021: A Special meet on “Swacch Mangaluru – What Next?” will be held at Ramakrishna Math on January 10.
“Ramakrishna Mission Mangalore is striving hard for six years to create awareness among the general public about cleanliness and hygiene through Swacchata Abhiyan. Started as a five-year project it was concluded in 2019 October. But several eminent citizens and active volunteers kept on urging the Ashrama to continue the Abhiyan,” Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan Chief Convener Swami Chidambarananda stated in a press communique.
A special meet is organized at Ramakrishna Math to gather opinions, feedbacks, and suggestions from more than 150 different NGOs, groups, and Mangalore city stakeholders at 4 pm.
“Whether Swacchata Abhiyan should be continued or not? If it is to be resumed what should be the form – module and the role of the general public in that, etc will be discussed in detail at Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, Ramakrishna Math, Mangaluru,” he added.
Swami Jitakamanandaji, President of Ramakrishna Math, Mangaluru & Swami Mahamedhanandaji, Editor of Vedanta Kesari monthly magazine from Ramakrishna Math, Chennai will grace the occasion.
Dr. N Vinay Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte University will be the Chief Guest. Manjunath Bhandary, President, Bhandari Foundation & Captain Ganesh Karnik, Former MLC are the Special invitees.
About 150 NGOs or groups will be represented at the meet. Several eminent men, concerned citizens, and stakeholders of Mangalore city Development will be present on the occasion.
