Antony Waste workers to go on strike in Mangaluru


Mangaluru, Jan 01, 2021: Garbage in Mangaluru City is likely to be left uncollected tomorrow with workers of Antony Waste Handling Cell deciding to go on strike.
“They have alleged that of the 12 demands placed during the protest in December only one has been fulfilled and others have been completely neglected,” workers union leader Narayana Shetty alleged.
The employees had placed various demands including fixation of 8 hours duty time and Over time for those who work more.
“The company had agreed to this and had given it in writing in the presence of labour officials. But none of the demand except one has been fulfilled, he added.
All the employees will protest infront of Antony Waste Office at Bykampady.
