Vijay Diwas celebrated at Karwar
Karwar, Dec 16, 2020: Vijay Diwas was celebrated at Karwar War Ship Museum on Wednesday.
The program was organized by Uttara Kannada district administration and Directorate of Soldier Welfare Board.
Inaugurating the event, INS Vajrakosh Commanding Officer Capt Saju Joy defined Vijay Diwas as a day to remember the sacrifice the soldiers who laid their life for the country.
Presiding over the event Deputy Commissioner Dr. Harish Kumar K remembered the contribution of Uttara Kannada district in defense.
“The district administration will work for the welfare of such soldiers and their families,” he assured.
The family members of the martyrs were felicitated on the occasion.
Superintendent of Police Shiva Prakash Devaraju, CEO Priyanga M, Additional DC Krishnamurthy H K, District Soldiers Welfare and Rehabilitation Deputy Director Induprabha V, Commander Sathyanath Bonsle, and others were present.
