Kannada board being installed at the entrance

Udupi, Dec 03, 2020: The Kannada name board has been re installed at the entrance of Udupi Sri Krishna Matha.

The new name board at the entrance of Udupi Krishna Matha with only Tulu and Sanskrit fonts and the absence of Kannada had created controversy. Kannada outfits had raised objection. (The old one had Kannada font).

However, the Matha Manager Govindaraj on Tuesday had clarified that the old (plastic) board was removed as it was to be replaced by a new wooden name board.

He has stated that while the one with Tulu and Sanskrit was installed, the work of the Kannada name board was under progress and would be installed shortly.

The Matha clarified that there was no intension of neglecting Kannada and the board would be installed once it was ready.

On Thursday morning, the new Kannada board has been installed at the entrance.
