Emergency and inpatient service resumes at Dr TMA Pai Hospital
Udupi, Nov 18: Emergency and inpatient services have resumed at Dr. TMA Pai Hospital along with elective surgeries and deliveries from Nov 16. Emergency services have also started functioning as usual.
The hospital played a major role as it served as the designated COVID Hospital in the district from April. Because of this, all other services were stopped.
“OPD services resumed at the hospital from Oct 15. Now in the second phase, all other remaining services including the Casualty were reopened from Nov 16, as the initial surge of the pandemic appears to have reduced now,” Medical Superintendent Dr. Shashikiran Umakanth stated in a press statement.
“The hospital is following strict infection control protocols from the beginning of the pandemic and will continue the infection control practices for the safety of all patients,” he added.
