Biometric attendance reintroduced in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Nov 18: Following a drop in the number of COVID cases in Karnataka, the state government has decided to reintroduce a biometric attendance system in all the government offices with immediate effect.

A circular in connection to this has been sent by the DPAR undersecretary on November 18.
When there was an increase in the number of COVID cases in the state, the state government had stopped the biometric attendance system on April 27.
“As the number of COVID-19 cases is decreasing in Bengaluru and other parts of the state, Biometric attendance will be reintroduced with immediate effect,” the circular stated.
It also asked the offices to place sanitizers near the biometric machines.
