Kumta records highest number of COVID cases on Friday

Karwar, Oct 09: Uttara Kannada district recorded 208 new COVID cases and three deaths on Friday.
According to the district bulletin, Kumta reported the highest number of COVID cases. Kumta had (45) positive cases followed by Sirsi (39), Karwar (38), Yellapura (22), Haliyala (16), Ankola (12), Honnavara (12), Mundgod (10), Siddapura (8), and Bhatkal (6). Joida has not reported any case.
Kumta, Bhatkal, and Haliyal recorded one death each. With this, the total number of deaths in the district as of Friday is 129.
As many as 300 were discharged today.
