Person allegedly throws acid on wife, relative

Uppinangady, Sep 24: A person allegedly threw acid on his wife and relative on Thursday.

Police said that Shaini (32) of Nelyadi Konalu and her husband Biju Thomas had differences.

On Thursday morning Shainy and her relative Jhansi were on their way for rubber tapping when Biju allegedly waylaid them and threw acid.

Shainy and Jhansi were injured. The two are under treatment at a private hospital.
Puttur Rural Inspector will shortly collect a statement from the two.
