No mask no entry, say Uttara Kannada govt offices
Karwar, Sep 10: It is ‘No Mask No entry,’ to government offices in Uttara Kannada district.
Despite the government stressing on wearing a mask and also imposing fine to those who don’t wear it, many completely neglect the rules and venture outside without wearing masks.
As government offices are frequented by many people such negligence can prove dangerous. Negligence could also make it difficult for government officials to discharge their duty.
Uttara Kannada district’s method of COVID control is a model in the state. The district administration wants to ensure that the negligence of the people does not lead to spread in COVID.
Taking this into consideration, Uttara Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr Harish Kumar K has issued strict orders to allow only those with masks inside the government offices. Circulars have already been sent to all the government officials in this regard.
If anybody tries to go to the government offices despite this warning, officials have been asked to bookcases against the violators.
Meanwhile, DC has also directed the officials to impose fine on those who do not wear a mask and those who violate social distancing.
