Udupi records seven deaths on Tuesday

Udupi, Sep 08: Udupi district which recorded 247 new cases and seven deaths, witnessed a steep increase in the number of deaths on Tuesday.

Of the seven, six are from Udupi taluk and one from Kundapur.

The total death in the district has increased to 121.

According to the district bulletin, 115 of the positive cases were reported from Udupi taluk. Kundapur and Karkala recorded 83 and 45 cases respectively. Four were from other districts.

The bulletin states that of the 247 cases, source of infection of 226 is under investigation.
