COVID-19: Udupi sees single-day spike of 400-plus cases
Udupi, Aug 18: Udupi district saw a steep increase with 421 new cases today. This is the highest ever single-day increase in the number of cases in Udupi district.
Udupi Taluk recorded 203 cases, followed by Kundapur with 158 and Karkala 50. As many as 10 cases were from other districts.
The total number of COVID cases in the district is 8,666 of which 5,951 are discharged and 2,637 active.
