COVID-19: DK records 229 cases on Sunday

Mangaluru, Aug 16: In the last 24 hours, Dakshina Kannada recorded 229 COVID cases and 7 deaths. With this, the COVID cases in the district have reached 8,878. 

The district has 2,164 positive cases and 6,445 discharges. As many as 128 people were discharged today (4 from COVID Care Centre, 86 from Home Isolation and 38 from Hospitals).

Of the 229 cases today, 122 were from Mangaluru Taluk.  

Among the seven deaths, three are from Mangaluru Taluk and four from other districts.
