MLC Harish Kumar visits rain affected villages

Belthangady, Aug 10: MLC and District Congress Committee president K Harish Kumar visited rain-affected villages in Malavanthige and Mittabagilu Panchayats and assured necessary help to the people.

Fearing heavy rain and flood-like situation, the district administration had shifted about 32 families from Ganesh Nagara. Some have taken shelter in their relatives’ and friends’ place and others at the Mittabagilu school.

Harish Kumar who visited the Mittabagilu school spoke to the people there and assured necessary help.

When he came to know that the cook did not receive four-month salary, Harish Kumar provided personal financial assistance. 

He also spoke to the Tahshildar and asked to make necessary arrangements for the families that had lost houses in the previous monsoon.

Block Congress City president Shailesh Kumar Kurtodi, Gram Panchayat member Mohammed, Youth Congress secretary Gururaj, Anil Kumar Killur, Shrinivas Navoor, Shashi Killur, and other leaders were present.
