Udupi district records 300-plus cases on Saturday
Udupi, Aug 08: Udupi district saw a steep rise in the COVID cases. The district recorded 314 new cases and five deaths on Saturday.
Of this Udupi, taluk has 192 cases, Kundapur (87) and Karkala (30). Five are from other districts. Udupi taluk also recorded four out of the five deaths.

Of the total 5,919 cases, the Udupi district now has 2,512 active and 3,347 discharge. Meanwhile, the district also recorded five deaths.

65-year-old male from Udupi
56-year-old male from Kundapur.
