 DC asks Commercial establishments to conduct Rapid Antigen Test

Udupi, Aug 02: Udupi Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesh has issued an order directing the commercial establishments, hotels, and food aggregators to conduct Rapid Antigen Test to their employees.
With a rise in COVID cases, the district administration had found it necessary to increase community surveillance for which it had decided to conduct random tests among the employees at malls, shopping complexes, shops, ZOMATO, Swiggy, and such food supply chains, hotels and restaurants.
But it has not yet been done, the Deputy Commissioner G Jagadish has issued an order.
“The management of all the malls, shopping complexes, shops, Zomato, Swiggy, food aggregators and suppliers, hotels and restaurants should compulsorily contact their respective Taluk Health officials and fix a date to conduct Rapid Antigen Test for their employees,” the DC stated in the order issued on August 1.
He has also warned action against those who violate this order.
