Mangaluru, July 29: It is a twitter war between the former and present district in-charge minister of Dakshina Kannada district over the transfer of Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh.
Sindhu B Rupesh was one of the 13 IAS officials transferred by the state government on Tuesday.
“The Deputy Commissioner had warned strict action against those involved in moral policing and who take the law into their hands. Miscreants had given life threat (on social media) to her. Instead of punishing the person who threatened the DC, the government has punished the DC,” Khader tweeted.
He continued to question in another tweet which read- In this situation, instead of encouraging the officials, the BJP leaders are involved in politics. If Corona is strangulating the people, BJP elected representatives are doing it to the officials. Where is justice,” he questioned.
Khader has tagged Chief Minister, Yediyurappa and Home Minister B S Bommai.
Known for his witty replies, Incharge Minister Kota Shrinivas Poojary defended the government’s move.
“It is sad that Khader is politicizing the transfer done as part of the administrative measures. This is not Khader’s time (Khader Kaalavalla) to protect the accused,” he replied.
He continued further.
“The district administration has asked cooperation from the opposition leaders. It is not right on the part of the elected representatives of the opposition party to take publicity by violating the norms in the name of burial,” Kota added.
He has added the photo of U T Khader participating in the burial of a COVID-19 victim about a month ago without wearing a PPE kit.
