Minister Kota visits Siddi’s house at Yellapur
Yellapur, July 25: Fisheries and Endowment Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary visited the house of MLC Shantharam Siddi at Hitlalli near Yellapur and congratulated him on Saturday.
Shantharam Siddi is one of the five nominated for the upper house by the state government recently.
Poojary arrived at the house of Shantharam Siddi, situated amidst forest at Yellapur at 9 am. He felicitated Siddi and spoke to his family members and the villagers.
Poojary who defined Siddi as Ekalavya, praised his efforts in organizing the tribals and the forest dwellers. He also applauded the party for elevating such a worker to the post of MLC.
“Shantharam Siddi is leading a very simple life. He is the only MLC to live in such a house,” he said.
Siddi and his family who were too excited to see the minister visiting their house expressed happiness.
