COVID-19: Uttara Kannada records 162 cases
Karwar, July 25: Uttara Kannada district recorded 162 new cases on Saturday.
Officials told The Canara Post that the number of cases was considerably high on Saturday as the COVID lab has completed testing all backlog samples and also as Rapid antigen test is picking up in the district.
KIMS COVID-19 testing lab will be closed for one and a half days for fumigation activities and so the lab has completed testing all backlog samples. Hence the number of positive patients is considerably high.
The district also recorded 88 discharges today.
The total number of cases recorded on Saturday is 1,668 of which 744 are active cases and 846 are discharged. On Saturday, the highest number of positive cases were reported from Bhatkal followed by Haliyal.
