IMD issues orange alert for Coastal Karnataka
Mangaluru, July 09: Orange alert has been issued for Coastal Karnataka with India Meteorological Department warning heavy to very heavy rainfall in isolated areas until July 10 morning.
“Heavy to very heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka when rainfall shall exceed 115 mm,” the alert issued by India Meteorological Department stated.
Thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of the region.
IMD has also issued heavy rain alert till July 14th when the rainfall shall exceed 65 mm.
