COVID-19: 83 positive cases in DK on Tuesday

Mangaluru, July 07: Dakshina Kannada district recorded one death and 83 positive cases on Tuesday.

The 65-year-old person from Moodabidri with pneumonia, heart-related issue was admitted to a private hospital on July 3. He died on Tuesday.

Of the 83 positive today, 48 are primary contacts and two secondary contacts.Twenty patients with ILI, one SARI, and one who had traveled from Chikkamagaluru district. Samples of 10 are under tracing. 

The total number of positives in the state is 1,498 of which 800 from Bengaluru Urban. 

Uttara Kannada: The district recorded 36 positive cases. Of these 19 are from Bhatkal, 6 from Karwar, 3 from Haliyal, two each from Kumta, Honnavar, and Sirsi and one each from Joida and Mundagod.

Udupi: Meanwhile Udupi recorded 28 positive cases. The total number of positives in the district is 1,390. Udupi: Meanwhile Udupi recorded 28 positive cases. Source of 6 are under tracing. Seven had come from other districts, and two from Maharashtra. Twelve are contacts of the patients and one from abroad.
