Janardhan Poojary tests COVID positive

Bantwal, July 05: Former Minister and senior Congress leader B Janardhan Poojary tested COVID-19 positive.

As the news of 83-year-old senior Congress leader testing positive spread, the family members and friends were flooded with phone calls. Poojary’s son immediately gave a press statement confirming the news.

“Janardhan Poojary has tested COVID positive. There is no cause of worry. He is asymptomatic and admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru as a precautionary measure,” Poojary’s son Santhosh J Poojary stated in the message.

By evening many Congress leaders including former Ministers B Ramanath Rai, U T Khader posted a message on twitter and wished speedy recovery of Poojary.
