Administration warns of action against Sunday lockdown violators
Udupi, July 04: Udupi district Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesh has warned strict action against those who violate the Sunday lockdown.
As per the government order lockdown would be in effect on all Sundays from July 5.
“Lockdown will be strictly followed in the district. However, loading and transport of basic supplies would be uninterrupted. Except for medicals, clinics, hospitals, newspapers, and milk, there will be no other supplies tomorrow,” the DC said.
“Marriages are allowed with Tahsildar’s permission and should be attended by a maximum of 50 people. Strict action would be taken against those who violate the lockdown order. Vehicles would be seized and cases booked in such cases,” he warned.
Mangaluru City Chief Vikash Kumar Vikash has asked the people to strictly follow the Sunday lockdown.
“The lockdown starts at 8 pm tonight and ends at 5 am on Monday. It’s important to abide by the guidelines in the interest of all. Violations will draw strict action. Bandobust has been made all across the city…,” the Commissioner tweeted.
