 Domestic travelers add 53 cases to Udupi, DK

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district saw a sharp increase in the COVID cases with 24 positives on Thursday. Udupi recorded highest in the state with 29 cases. 
The evening bulletin showed 115 COVID cases in the state on Thursday.
All the 24 had returned from Mumbai and were under quarantine. They are now shifted to COVID hospital in Mangaluru.
In Udupi, of the 29 positives, two had returned from Telengana and one from Kerala. All the others are from Maharashtra. The patients have been shifted to designated hospitals.
With today’s increase the total active cases in Dakshina Kannada has increased to 63. Udupi has 145 active cases.
