COVID-19: One person from Uppinangady tested positive
Mangaluru, April 17: After a gap of about two weeks, Dakshina Kannada district has recorded a COVID-19 positive case on Friday.
Health Department’s afternoon bulletin confirmed 38 COVID-19 positive cases in Karnataka on Friday. This includes one from DK district.
People in the district had relaxed as the district had not recorded any positive cases in the last two weeks.
The 39 year old with the history of traveling to Delhi was in the government quarantine facility.
Though he was tested negative in the earlier test on April 2, the throat swab test on April 13 confirmed him to be positive of COVID-19.
He has been shifted to Wenlock Hospital. The person hails from Uppinangady village in Puttur Taluk. Officials are identifying all those who were in his contact.
