Coal scam: Former Minister Dilip Ray convicted

New Delhi, Oct 26: A special CBI court sentenced former Union minister Dilip Ray to 3-yr imprisonment in coal scam case.

The case is pertaining to alleged irregularities in allocation of Jharkhand coal block in 1999.

One of the founding leader of BJD, Ray was part of NDA and the minister of Steel, Coal and Parliamentary affairs in Vajayee government.
