It’s official, College to reopen from Nov 17 in Karnataka
Bengaluru, Oct 23: In a major decision, the state government has decided to reopen degree classes from November 17.
Deputy Chief Minister C N Ashwathanarayan announced this on his twitter handle.
“Colleges in Karnataka will reopen for classes from November 17. This decision is an outcome of a review meeting held under the leadership of Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa. . Reopening of all Graduate, PG, Diploma & Engineering Colleges was discussed with all concerned departments’ officials,” he tweeted.
The classes will be held in a ‘blended’ manner with the option of attending classes either in-person or through online classes. Those who wish to attend the classes in-person will have to carry a consent letter from their parents.
“All safety measures shall be followed in accordance with UGC’s COVID19 Guidelines. A Task Force will be instituted at each District and College level to seamlessly implement the same,” he added.
